Our Mini and Junior Section caters for children from 5 years of age to 16. Under 17s and above move to our Academy which caters for players from U17 – U19. The Academy serves as an excellent transition to Senior Rugby. 2009-2010 saw our strong Academy make it to the Quarterfinals of the National Colts competition, and this season they will be looking to improve upon this.
Many of our current 1st XV players are home grown. Last season 17 players out of a squad of 34 were ‘home grown.’ They started our Mini and Junior Section which meets on Sundays from 09:45 until 12:00. We offer rugby for absolutely everyone from the age of 5. Girls’ rugby thrives; the girls play in mixed groups up to the age of 12, have then move to separate squads (u15’s & u18’s).
All sections are affiliated to Hampshire RFU and in turn to the RFU, our governing body. With over 360 registered players last season we must be doing something right!!!
