Havant Academy 1XV produces a brilliant first half performance to claim a deserved bonus-point win away at Tadley, despit a scrappy and frustrating second half.

The visitors came out firing, completely up for it! Inside the opening 20 mins Havant crossed the whitewash twice, both tries finished clinically after sustained pressure. Louis H kept a cool head from the tee, adding both conversions to give Havant early control of the contest.

Tadley hit back in the 25th minute with what can only be described as a soft try from Havant's perspective - a lapse in concentration that briefly shifted momentum. But the response was exatly what the coaches would have wanted. Havant regrouped, tightened their structure and struck twice more before half-time, splitting the backline and punishing Tadley's mistakes. With four tries on the board before the breadk, the boys turned around in a commanding position.

Unfortunately, the second half told a different story. Discipline slipped, and after a brief scuffle the team allowed Tadley to drag them down to their level.

Panic crept in, accuracy dropped and opportunities went begging. Havant should have scored at least a couple more tries, but poor decision-making and impatience meant the chances weren't finished.

Despite the frustrating final 35 minutes, the squad still came away with a strong bonus-point win on the road - a result that reflects the quality showin in the first half, even if the overall performance wasn't as complete as it could have been.
