Match-day four saw Havant entertain Bournemouth in another exciting installment of Regional 1 South Central.
The stand and the sidelines were full of FPA members who enjoyed a very good lunch and the AGM for the FPA saw the announcement of Phil Grant stepping down as chair at the end of the season.
Havant attacked from the start and soon had possession deep inside the Bournemouth half, an infringement at a ruck saw Havant's first points from a sweetly struck penalty from Jacob Knight. Some five minutes later and Bournemouth were level Grant Hancox making no mistake from his penalty.
The constant pressure at the breakdown and with set piece purring, Havant had the platform to launch attack after attack. By the time the half-time whistle blew the bonus point had been secured. Tries were scored by Ben Holt, Sam Vince, Jacob Knight! and, Wes Dugan. Grant Hancox replied with a couple of penalties, but Havant were firmly in front.

Half-time Havant 29 Bournemouth 9

The 2nd period started with a bang and Havant engineered two more tries one from Armandus Morgan and a sublime jinking run and finish from Jake Hewett. This pushed the score out to 41-9 before Bournemouth scored a try for themselves, the winger Ryan Morrell with a good finish.
Again, the forward domination allowed the creative Reuben Knight and the backline space for more chances.
Havant scored four more tries in the final twenty minutes, Reuben Knight, Harrison Young, Rory Penfold and the returning from injury Wayne Dugan. All were converted by Jacob Knight; his personal tally was an impressive twenty-four points.
An excellent performance in front of another bumper crowd at the Lane, the faithful were shown passion, pace and, pride by all eighteen players. Showing what they can do when the set piece is dominated unleashing the backline.
Just a quick shout-out to Bournemouth, who gave everything all afternoon making it a tough game despite the scoreline. They just met an irresistible Havant at Hooks Lane.

Head -coach Will Knight's thoughts after the game.
"Obviously I'm delighted again by the result. We took our chances well and it was a more complete performance than our previous games. We were pretty precise in attack and to score ten tries was pleasing. We have talked about relishing the pressure of being top and i think we saw a little of that today. Next week is another opportunity to move our game on and the boys can't wait."
