On a poignant day at the Lane "Presidents Lunch" with over 200 at the lunch, swelling the crowd to an estimated 1000. Havant made a few changes from the previous away win over Westcombe Park. Wayne Dugan replaced a hamstrung Scott Morris, Harry Ransom moved to eight replacing Gav Hughan, Harrison Young came back into partner Richie Janes, and Reuben Knight returned at fly-half.
Havant found CS Stag's a slightly different opposition to the one that had been beaten consistently throughout the season. Certainly more competitive. An early penalty for the Stag's on seventeen minutes gave them the lead 0-3 after an even start to the game.
Havant's response was swift, a long kick for touch from Jacob Knight found touch, the resulting line-out just meters from the 5-meter line, Havant's rolling maul a feature of this season trundled its way to the line, and was finished off by Wes Dugan who was having another excellent game on the flank. 5-3.
Another creative kick to touch by Jacob Knight was thrown in by Sean Shepherd to the back of the line-out, Elliot Bellman caught the ball made meters before passing to Harrison Young who was stopped just short of the line. Wes Dugan was again on hand to deliver the blow to the Stags team scoring his 2nd try of the afternoon extending Havant's lead to 12-3 after the conversion by Joel Knight.
The Stag's were certainly finding it hard to pierce the strong Havant defense, Elliott Bellman and Richie Janes showing great form in the huge hits driving back the Stag's attacks. However, CS scored again from a penalty in stoppage time in the first half. 12-6.

Havant mounted sustained pressure on the Stag's defensive line and was winning most of the battles in the loose. A huge scrum on fifty minutes, had them going back towards the try line, scrum-half Ben Holt had the easy chance to score and Havant led 17-6.
Havant continued to press the away team and Richie Janes made a burst from midfield making thirty meters before offloading to the backline. This was stopped with an intentional knock-on and a yellow card for the CS player.
The CS line was creaking now and another huge scrum set up the backline line, the final pass out to Harry Carr was deemed forward so the try was chalked off, a let-off for CS.
Havant's forwards were causing all sorts of problems for CS after several pick and goes, Ben Holt was stopped short of the line his clever offload gave Tam Lindsay the bonus point try and Havant led 24-6.
A high tackle reduced CS to fourteen players on Nathan Bellman who was down needing treatment from physio Simon.
Another line-out from Sean Shepherd and Havant's rolling maul marched its way to the try line only to be stopped illegally, the referee had no choice but to give a penalty try and Havant led 31-6 with seventy-five minutes on the clock.
Havant did not step off the gas and on seventy-nine minutes scored their sixth try when another line-out and maul was stopped and given out to the backline where Jacob Knight dummied the centers and scored for the final try of the game 36-6.

Will Knight's thoughts after the game
"Fair play to CS Stags they have had a really difficult season and they came down and threw the kitchen sink at us.
We managed to get in front at the break but it was obvious there was a need for a change of gear in the 2nd half.
When that came we had a little too much for them and in the end, it was a comfortable win.
It was a great day at the club with another huge crowd and it was great to be able to celebrate all the positives this season has brought.
